Restaurant description

The building in which the "Weisses Rössl" is to be found was first mentioned in the year 1410. After it had been destroyed in a fire, it was rebuilt between 1490 and 1500. Only in the year 1983, an old wooden beam ceiling was recovered from below the masonry in one of the dining rooms.

The restaurant dates back to the year 1600!

In 1918 the "Weisses Rössl" was purchased by Josef Plank. However, difficult times forced him to sell the inn again - nevertheless the Plank family continued to run the restaurant as tenants. On December 9, 1982, exactly 51 years later, Josef Plank's grandson Werner Plank and his wife Rosemarie succeeded in rebuying the "Rössl"! Nowadays, the restaurant is run by Klaus Plank, representing the fourth generation of the Plank family, and continuing the tradition of these long-established innkeepers.

Ever since, the Plank family have been striving to offer only the best food and drinks to their guests in the unique ambience within these historic walls!

Down-to-earthness and hospitality are still the main ingredients, even if the food on offer has now become somewhat more diverse and modern. All dishes are exclusively prepared based on local products. It is a balancing act between traditional Tyrolean and newly interpreted dishes.

The "Weisses Rössl" is a part of the Tyrolean inn culture and was awarded the Austrian "AMA" quality certificate for agricultural products. It conserves the culinary heritage of Austria and is considered to be a restaurant of particularly high quality. Furthermore, many apprentices have learned their trade in this well-established restaurant.

Hospitality is our first priority.

Why don't you just drop by and indulge in our culinary specialties! We are looking forward to your visit!

In the "Weisses Rössl" several rooms are waiting for you:

The dining room, where you can find the regulars' table and the heavy wooden beam ceiling
The "Jagastube" lounge with its restored wooden ceiling, where the tradition of hunting is revived
The "Bürgerstube" lounge, which is dominated by original paintings of regional motives by local artists
And the "Zirbenstube" lounge, which is filled with the scent of stone pine!

In the summer months, you can also enjoy your meals on the restaurant terrace on the first floor.
